All high school seniors from Ludlow, Mount Holly and Cavendish are welcome to apply to the $1500 scholarship from the Ludlow Side Hill Cronchers! Read on for details.
Annual Scholarship Amount: $1500.
2026 Requirements: Applicants must be from Ludlow, Mt Holly, or Cavendish.
Deadline for submittal: May 1, 2026. Application essay is to be submitted via your school’s scholarship application process or can be sent directly to the snowmobile club scholarship committee at ludlowshc@gmail.com with a copy to your school guidance advisor.
Qualifications:
Preference will be given to those pursuing a career that supports the sport of snowmobiling. Examples include forestry, mechanics, environmental studies, public health and safety.
Financial need.
Demonstrated support or involvement in forestry, mechanics, environmental studies, public health and safety.
Enrollment in a 2- or 4-year college or technical school.
Guidelines:
Application essay is to be submitted via your school’s scholarship application process or can be sent directly to the SHC committee at ludlowshc@gmail.com with a copy to your school guidance advisor.
The award shall be disbursed after the completion of the first semester and proof of enrollment for the second semester.
Proof of enrollment should be submitted directly to the Club.
Award Acceptance Opportunity:
· As part of the scholarship award, we invite (and hope you can attend) you and your parent(s) or guardian(s) to join us at the annual Landowners dinner, hosted by the Ludlow Sidehill Cronchers. This is an annual event we hold to thank the landowners for use of their property for snowmobiling.
· It is usually towards the end of early May at a local restaurant in Ludlow, such as DJ’s. We will notify of final date and location once confirmed.
· We will present your award certificate at the dinner so landowners and club members can meet you, and if you are comfortable, we would like to have you read all or part of the essay you submitted as part of the scholarship package (not required).
