All Ludlow trails are all groomed and ready under the beautiful blue bird skies today. Thanks, Bernie, Kevin, and Joey, for going out yesterday and today! The trails are in decent shape. Still thin cover in areas and there are still some water bars that need more snow. Many thanks to the Mount Holly Snow Riders for clearing trees on Trail 7 from RD78 to Healdville making it much easier to groom that area last night. Please note that Trail 7 from RD78 to Healdville has some extra deep water bars that need more snow to fill better in so trail will remain "yellow" in that area.
Please ride with extra caution and the 15mph speed limit in the super sensitive area on 127 on South Hill when it is on Godfrey Rd and South Hill Rd for a stretch. It will go a long way in helping keep the 2 sides of our trail system connected.
It's cold out there! Pro Tip: Warming Hut at 127A/127B WR41 is open with hot cocoa courtesy of the Ludlow Side Hill Cronchers. Throw a log on the fire and warm up. Porta Potty there, too.
The Belmont Country Store is open and welcoming snowmobilers at the end of Belmont trail 7CF. Also, the Cavendish Cook Shack should be open at WR43. It supports the Cavendish Green Mountain Snow Fleas Snowmobile Club. In Ludlow, Calcutta's should be open for some food as well. It has a feeder trail off of 127A near WR84. You will see signs.
It will probably be pretty busy today so double important to stay right and in control.
Enjoy!
