01/26/2026 - Trail Report

Updated: 6 days ago

SNOW is the word of the day today! As of early afternoon, we got at least a foot of snow so far and it is still coming down. Grooming was done by Mike & Krista on North Hill today (127A, 127B) and an attempt at 127C but some trees were in the way. Luckily, Jason was out riding and lent a hand so the groomer could continue on. Afterwards, Kevin and Erik went out to finish clearing the trees in that area. Note: The trail to Calcutta's, the feeder trail to 103 (aka the "Darcy" Trail), and the East Lake Access Trails were not groomed yet. Okemo is ungroomed.

If you go out, it could be good to bring a chainsaw if you go out on the Okemo side (127) as the storm could have brought down some trees. There are known fallen trees on the top of Okemo where Trail 127 splits onto Trail 7. Trees are between that intersection and the last bridge heading toward Station Rd. A group will be going out to clear them today or tomorrow. We would appreciate it if you report any other trees down.

While on trails, proceed with caution as we work to groom this beautiful snow. It will take a couple of days but our goal is to have things looking pretty good by the weekend. Let the season begin!

P.S. Snow is light and fluffy and does not cover hazards well. Trails will remain yellow. Keep thinking snow!

Thank you, volunteers, for setting us up! And for the pics!
